Escher exhibition in Museum Bredius

This year it was 125 years ago that the artist Maurits Cornelis Escher (1898-1972) was born. In honor of this Escher year, Museum Bredius organised an exhibition dedicated to presenting optical illusion in art long before Escher. Hoogsteder loaned a trompe l’oeil painting by Cornelis Biltius (1653-1686) to the exhibition.

The exhibition runs until September 31, 2023. Visit the MUSEUM BREDIUS website for more information.
