Like so many museums and cultural institutions, The Rembrandt House Museum faces great difficulties due to the corona crisis. This is why Willem Jan Hoogsteder – collector, dealer and chair of the Hoogsteder Museum Foundation – together with his wife Karin Hoogsteder decided to support the museum in a special way: with the gift of a painting from their private collection.
We are specialized in Dutch and Flemish Old Master Paintings. Over the last 50 years Hoogsteder has realized 20 exhibitions and made loans available to 185 museum exhibitions worldwide.
Recently an important loan was negotiated for the Rembrandt-Velásquez exhibition in the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam.
Through its loans and exhibitions, the Hoogsteder Museum Foundation aims to promote the art and culture of The Netherlands of the 17th century.
Please phone or send an e-mail with any requests for loans.
